Best 3 Cities To Visit in the Holidays!


I can not believe the year is coming to an end. Halloween is over, Thanksgiving is in a couple of weeks and before you know it, it’s CHRISTMAS! Now everyone knows that this is the time of year when most people travel and it can get pretty hectic. If you’re like me and you want to travel for the holidays but have no idea where to go to do not worry, I have made a list for you of the best cities to visit.

   


      

 1.   Winter Wonderland: New York City

 Of course, this had to be number one on the list. During the holiday season, this city becomes a winter wonderland. The holidays in New York City begins in November, starting with the biggest Thanksgiving parade. Right after this celebration comes The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting ceremony. This year the ceremony will fall on November 28, 2018. You can also visit some ice-skating rinks including the one in Winter Village at Bryant Park. If that’s not enough check out the amazing holiday windows and light show display by Saks Fifth Avenue. Their unveiling will occur on November 19 at 7pm this year but will run through the holidays.

 2.      Christmas Capital of Texas: Grapevine

          One thing we know about Texas is that everything is bigger there and Christmas in not an exception. Grapevine is the Christmas capital of Texas and if you have never been there you will be perplexed by how much effort and life they put towards their displays and events. You won’t even have enough time to do everything as they host 1,400 Christmas events in 40 days! If anything you need to stop at Gaylord Texan Resort and celebrate ICE! And Lone Star Christmas, they decorate their place with 2 million Christmas lights, 15,000 ornaments, a 54-foot-tall tree, an 8-foot-tall gingerbread house, and 2 million pounds of ice which was carved to give you ICE! Here you will learn the definition of Christmas and you can enjoy doing so with the rejoiceful voice of Christmas carolers.

  3.  America’s Christmas Tree City: Branson, Missouri 

      Talk about dedication! Branson, Missouri is dedicated to remain America’s Christmas Tree City as businesses come together to display more than 700 Christmas trees with beautiful, creative decorations and sparkling lights, they even have a tree trail map which you can check out below. If you don’t have time to explore the trail you must make a stop at Silver Dollar City an amusement park that transforms into “Old Time Christmas”, they have over 6.5 million lights and 1,000 decorated trees. Besides enjoying the decorations you have the options to enjoy musicals, thrilling rides, and of course comfort food and treats.
