Let’s Travel Abroad

There are many wonderful places in the United States, but sometimes we need to get out of our comfort zone and travel to different parts of the world. We always focus on what is popular and don’t consider the smaller towns when they have so much beauty, history, and culture to offer. Here are some of those beautiful places that offer all of that and more.

      Bordeaux, France

If you love wine, art, and history this is the place for you. Bordeaux is home to the world’s greatest wine museum, for starters the architecture is amazing! It resembles “the swirl in a wine glass”, inside you will see different displays, one of them being on the eighth floor where 4,000 glass bottles are suspended from the ceiling and of course you can enjoy different wines. You also have the options to visit places that offer history like the Place de la Bourse, Bordeaux Cathedral, and Place des Quinconces.

Salzburg, Austria

Salzburg is famous for having some of Central Europe’s largest intact fortress so if you love history this is a place you will want to visit. Some of those fortresses you can visit include Salzburg Fortress (Festung Hohensalzburg) which is an 11th century castle, Hellbrunn Palace, and Mirabell Palace and Gardens. If you didn’t know you can also visit Mozart’s birthplace which is now a museum and the Sound of Music film locations. (I think I’m about to buy a plane ticket right now).

 Kochi, Japan

So, we’ve talked about art and history but if you’re more of a nature type of person I recommend that you visit Kochi. Here you will be able to enjoy views of the sea, mountains and rivers. For waterfalls you can visit the Shimanto, the Yoshino and the Niyodo some of the most famous rivers that run through mountain-ringed Kochi creating spectacular waterfalls. Kochi also has natural phenomenon’s that you can witness like the Sea of clouds. This happens when fog and clouds form across a wide area, mostly in mountains.

Santa Cruz, Bolivia

When you think of Bolivia you might think of what it is famous for like Lake Titicaca, indigenous people, and even llamas. Santa Cruz is not like that, in fact it may seem like a small American town. That is because American-style restaurants have been established there to attract the locals. This still doesn’t take away from the beauties this city has to offer. Santa Cruz offers three incredible national parks: Amboro, Noel Kempff Mercado park, and the biggest national park in Bolivia Kaa-Iya National Park. Amboro is perfect for birdwatch enthusiasts. Noel Kempff Mercado park is the home to 139 mammal species, 74 reptile species, 62 amphibian species, and 254 fish species. Kaa-Iya is the best destination in Bolivia to see jaguars, tapirs, and pumas! All these three national parks make it the best destination to travel to if you love nature.
